Interview
Had a lovely initial conversation with HR and was sent to the next round to speak to someone who was holding the role I was applying for. After confirming the interview time- it was a video interview, I was blown off. At 20 after I emailed the person I was to interview with and the admin, I didn't receive a response until two business days later apologizing and asking to reschedule. I understand things come up but to wait that entire day and not receive a note from the interviewer, HR, or admin until days later rubbed me the wrong way but we carry on. Another interview is set up, it goes well until I ask why Utah? answer: Because they really appreciate the Mormon work ethic. Excuse me? No wonder they went back 10+ years, they wanted to know if I went on a mission. Super unethical and immoral. fast forward to one more interview where this winner doesn't even have the good graces to bother looking at the camera for the interview. Instead he is blatantly looking off screen and generally disinterested. I was super bummed this was such a disaster as I truly believe their CEO is a rock star and the company can do great things. Alas, I looked at is as three strikes and in lining up with the theme- I never even received a no thank you note or request to interview further. No follow up whatsoever. Classy bunch.

Interview
Very professional. Great conversation. Spoke with multiple members of the leadership team and you could tell they were bought into the vision. Also got a quick tour of the floor. Great office space. The people seem really quality as well.

Failing to close an interview loop by not emailing/calling your candidates back with an outcome is sadly the norm for most companies including Peek. As is the norm, most companies are sub-par when it comes to how they operate their recruiting process and it tends to be reflective of a greater cultural problem that usually exists within a historically unaccountable department HR or the firm as a whole. Peek, your small enough that you can improve your employer brand by taking 30 seconds and sending an email.
