This was without a doubt the best interview process I've gone through - super well-organized, communicative, and enjoyable! I felt supported and knew what to expect every step of the way. What really struck me was that each of my interviewers weren't just running down a list of questions, they were actually invested in getting to know me, both professionally and personally. This really showed how important their hiring and company culture is to them. I also loved that I was able to interview with members of the team in the same position that I was interviewing for, which allowed me to get to know my future (awesome) co-workers!

Question 1
Nothing too out of the ordinary - why Pendo, past experience, how I've overcome challenges in previous roles
The application process was pretty straightforward. All online and initial interview was a phone call. During the phone interview they ask some basic qualifying questions. They said they would get back to me which they did in a few days.

Interview Process Description:
The interview process at Pendo was incredibly thoughtful and well-structured. It consisted of four key stages:
Initial call with the recruiter – A great introduction to the role and company, where expectations and next steps were clearly outlined.
Conversation with the hiring manager – A deeper dive into the role, team dynamics, and how success is measured.
On-site interview – I had the opportunity to meet with another manager, an account manager, and two Customer Success Managers. I also got a full tour of the office, and every single person I met was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about their work.
Final call with the VP of Customer Success and the hiring manager – A strategic conversation that gave me a strong sense of the department’s vision and leadership style.
What truly stood out was the communication throughout the process. The recruiting team and every Pendozer I interacted with were transparent, timely, and supportive. I even had a couple of prep calls with the recruiting team before key interviews to make sure I felt ready and had a chance to ask any lingering questions. The level of preparation and care they put into the candidate experience made a huge impression.

Question 1
They asked me to describe how I would manage a book of business using a scaled Customer Success approach—specifically, how I would effectively support and engage with over 200 accounts.
Very standard interview process. Was rejected. Tangible feedback was not provided which can unfortunately insinuate bias. Based on other reviews I assume this was unusual however I urge HR professionals to encourage interviewers to share feedback (even when difficult) to provide growth opportunities for others.
