The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Pendo (Maidenhead, England) in Oct 2021
Interview
I got a mail from the recruiter to select a time for video call with hiring manager. In the process of applying for the job and submitting my resume, the recruiting team got so impressed by my CV that they absolutely skipped initial phone screening. I thought that would be their modern way of interviewing a potential candidate and carried on with the steps mentioned in the mail. So I selected a time and like any other sane human prepared for the interview and arranged my activities for the day so that I could make it to the interview and prove my worth to the potential employee. So , on the interview day , I am on a zoom call and within 5minutes in the interview the hiring manager realises and asks , why can’t I travel to the work ‘location’ ? The answer was because I live far away. Though he realised and apologised for the convenient goof up by the hiring team, but it messed up my routine for the day. And after that I got a standard ‘rejection’ auto generated mail from their recruitment team. Such a pathetic hiring process, I would rather never apply again for this company.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Pendo (Raleigh, NC) in Aug 2021
Interview
Was a very pleasant interview, never felt pressured or anxious. Everyone was very kind and you definitely got a sense for how the company culture is like from the interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pendo in May 2021
Interview
Two days after application, recruiter reached out and scheduled a phone screening. Then manager 30-minute Zoom interview the next week. I got rejection email the week after.
Pro: things moved quickly
Con: the whole process had a chaotic feeling, the recruiter pointed me to one direction regarding the role then the manager told me he wanted to go a completely opposite direction. I tried to get some feedbacks from the recruiter but was ghosted.
