Fairly straight forward. Submitted application through the portal. Received a call to set up an interview maybe two weeks later. It was just me and the interview committee. For the first part they read questions off of a sheet of paper. After that, they did ask some basic technical questions.

How would you tell someone to make a peanut butter sandwich?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Penn State in Apr 2025
Interview
They lied about the salary range in the job posting. Salary range listed was between 42,000 and 61,000. I get an email wanting to setup the interview and they mention that the salary range is actually 42,000 and 46,000. I scheduled the interview any way to see if I could get maybe get some reason why if they would bring it up. I schedule the interview over Zoom and they had 3 people on the call which seemed a bit overkill being the 1st round. They mentioned they only had 30 minutes and couldn't go past that because of other interviews lined up so it was kind of rushed.
