I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at PepsiCo (New York, NY) in Sep 2016
Interview
Was contacted by a recruiter about a week after applying through the PepsiCo website. The recruiter gave me a window to perform the interview in which I replied with specific times during the date offered. The recruiter communicated she was not available during those times so in an effort to accommodate I inquired how much time the interview would take. I received no answer to my inquiry and no confirmation that the interview would take place. On the day the interview was supposed to take place, I received a call from the recruiter asking if that moment was a good time to discuss the position.
The recruiter went on to tell me the position that I applied for and they initially contacted me a week prior was no longer open however a lower position in a different function was that offered much less pay was available if I was interested in interviewing. I said I was not interested and the recruiter then told me I was not qualified for even an entry level position in their Internal Audit Department even though I have a degree in Accounting and 5+ years (including big 4 public accounting experience in which I was a Senior Internal Audit Consultant) working in Internal Audit services.
Very disappointed and would caution anyone applying for a position with this company as the process was extremely unprofessional!
