I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Perkins Eastman
Interview
I was contacted by HR and interviewed with about 5 managers/seniors. Only a few had their cameras on for half the time and it felt like I was talking into a void. I asked about the potential of getting more responsibility and moving up into being a PM (which I already was at my current firm) and was given a 5 minute lecture about how some people are "born leaders" and some aren't. I am a woman...
Informal almost, in a good way, where this felt like a conversation and not a rigorous process. But they were generous with their time to meaningfully connect with the candidates
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Perkins Eastman (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2013
Interview
I got the interview through referral. I presented my portfolio-mostly academic work. The interview environment was comfortable and friendly. I did not feel rushed. I was given enough time and attention to explain myself.
