      Human Resources Coordinator Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Houston, TX
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Perry Homes (Houston, TX) in May 2017

      Interview

I applied online. I was contacted about 6 weeks after applying. Initial phone screen was quick , not many questions asked. In person interview was scheduled with recruiter. Interview with recruiter went well, so I thought. She asked your average questions; current responsibilities, reason for job search, long-time goals, weaknesses; strengths. A week later email with regrets was received. I have several questions myself, as I too, am interviewing the employer.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Perry Homes (Houston, TX) in May 2017

      Interview

Overall quick process. Was first contacted for a phone screening where they set up a one-on-one interview. One-on-one interview went well with typical questions (strengths, weaknesses, job history, etc.) A background check and personality/IQ test were also completed. Overall an hour long process. Was called within a few days to set up a panel interview. Typical questions until it took a turn for the worst and they began dissecting every line of my resume. They asked questions regarding education that the position did not require and even looked up my address in reference to the distance from the job location. Even after answering why I wanted to leave my current employer one panel interviewer asked the question again as if my answer was going to change. Felt more like an interrogation than an interview. When I asked what type of difficulties others faced in this position the same panel interviewer literally said "if you do not conform to our way of doing things you wont be successful here." I think this gentleman failed to realize that not only are you interviewing a candidate, but the candidate is interviewing you as an employer. No job offer, but I would have declined anyways. Not an environment i'd want to work in.
