I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Persistent Systems in Apr 2016
Interview
Written Test (MCQ)followed by two Technical rounds. Written test had 10 Aptitude questions and 25 Java, to be completed within 50 mins. But, candidates were taking as much time as they required.
Not sure as to why lateral candidates at mid-senior level are asked to give Aptitude Test. But, this clearly points that selection is generic and nothing specific. For people wanting careers out of job it makes a difference.
As pointed out by other reviews, such practice really lessens the confidence of selection by HR, and their efforts. Unless later during employment, they send you to IIMs for corporate degrees.
Technical questions comprised of Generics heavily, followed by Threads & Collections, followed by Reflection & Serialization surrounding Java 5.
