I went through a 5-stage interview process at Personetics over the course of a month, including recruiter screening, technical testing, and three rounds with senior leaders. I was told the process was progressing positively, and they even contacted two of my professional references—both of whom had lengthy calls with HR and the hiring manager. After all of this, I was informed they had another candidate who could start sooner and decided not to move forward with me. While I understand business decisions change, it was disappointing to see such poor timing and lack of transparency, especially after my references were involved. If availability was a major factor, that should have been considered earlier in the process. The experience came across as disorganized and ultimately disrespectful of my time and the time of those who supported me.
