I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Petco (Brooklyn, NY) in Apr 2012
Interview
I applied online and waited about a week until they called me for an interview. This was almost 4 years ago though so things probably changed. But my experience was great. I studied hard for the interview and was really worried but was hired after only a few questions. I was happy to get the job. Other people say they haven't been contacted at all after applying so I'd advise those people to call the store and speak to the general or assistant manager to get things rolling. Unfortunately, sometimes they don't update the website so it would say a position is open when in reality it isn't. It's unprofessional for them to do that.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Petco (Eugene, OR) in Feb 2024
Interview
We communicated via email for a while, until I called to schedule the interview. I had an interview the next day. It was very professional, comfortable, and relaxed. I felt like I was definitely seen as a person and not another application.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Petco (Stockton, CA) in Jan 2017
Interview
Applied online and got called for an interview about a week later. It was a group interview, although there was only one other applicant there with me, and she had previous work experience where I had none. Interview took place in the break room and was very casual, which I hear is typical, although I still dressed very well and would recommend it. A week after I received a job offer.
