I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Petco (Statesboro, GA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Applied Online / Went in store and requested a manager and got the ASM and asked her for an interview. She scheduled one for the following day. I showed up to the interview wearing a blazer and she was wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans and we interviewed while sitting on metal fold out chairs. (very informal but I still suggest dressing your best) I interviewed as well as I could and received none of the questions that I had prepared answers for but was able to fit them in indirectly to give better answers and at least seemed prepared. At the end of the interview we went over my availability and she said they would be in contact soon to begin the new hire process so I felt reasonably confident. BUT later that day I received a rejection email (the fastest ever) and I was quite surprised to receive that. Approximately 3 weeks later I received a call and was asked if I was still looking for work and I said I had found temporary full time work but could start in two weeks and train until then.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Describe an experience in which you provided exceptional customer service.
This started as an open group interview, that then moved to individual interviews. The group process happened in the front of the store, with the individual process moving to the office. Overall quick and painless.
It was pretty easy. The interviewer asks questions provided by Petco. My interview was short as the interviewer wanted it to go quick, but I don't believe this is the norm. Many questions are related to having a previous job.

Question 1
Are there any animals you are uncomfortable handling?
It was easy just talk about how you are with animas. I had experience so I just talked about that and they were very happy to hear about it. So don’t worry
