It started out fairly basic, I applied online (Which was a very lengthy applications process I might add) and I didn't hear anything for a few days so I decided to give them a call. After being asked to call back later because the manager wasn't in, I went about my day and called later. I had a polite conversation with the manager and asked what the status of my application was. He looked me up in his computer and said he couldn't find my application, much to my dismay and confusion. I had most definitely applied and then he asked me if I had put in my application that I was unavailable on the weekends. I said that yes, I had said that I was unavailable on Sundays for religious reasons but was available all day Saturday. He then informed me that the position I was applying for required weekend work and my application would automatically be rejected. This was very frustrating for me to hear because nowhere in the application process or afterward did I receive any information that my application had been rejected. I had to call them to find that out.

Question 1
Did you say you were unavailable for the weekends?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Petco (Peabody, MA) in Oct 2022
Interview
Easy. İf you have passion and general information about dogs they help you. If you have dog walking or boarding experience it helps. I didn’t have training experience. Interview was 30 minutes in store
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Petco (Rockford, IL) in Oct 2018
Interview
Very fast, was recommended to apply for a different position rather than what I applied for based on my resume, store manager seemed friendly, lasted about 5 minutes and seemed like I'd get an offer after I applied for the other position recommended to me.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Petco (East Longmeadow, MA) in Jul 2018
Interview
I was called in for an initial interview with the assistant store manager, and then a second interview with the general store manager. The interview with the assistant store manager was fun and fairly casual. The interview with the store manager was more formal. The store manager asked very few questions except "Tell me about yourself", whereas the assistant store manager asked many questions about my interests and what I would be comfortable with.
