When I went in for my interview, I was told to wait at the front of the store while another interview was finishing up. I waited nearly 40 minutes. I was then informed by the interviewer that it was not typically her job to conduct interviews. The one who normally does it decided to take a vacation that week.
The interview then began with a hand shake, about two minutes of complete silence, and the basic questions (past experience, if I own any pets, how many pets I own, if I'm willing to work with certain types of pets, etc.). However, no questions about my previous work history or other relevant experience were presented.
The actual interview was short. After revealing my experiences with animals (owning and caring for cats, dogs, chinchilla's, turtles, guinea pigs, various birds, etc) and having the job responsibilities explained to me, I got a hand shake and a "I'll pass your application and resume on and we'll call you".
Of course, there was no call.
