Interview
I had two interviews, one with the assistant manager and one with the GM. The second was very short (less than 5 minutes). The first interview was with one other applicant, who had experience at a serpentarium. I was offered a second interview, and he was not.
The interview was about 30 minutes long. I was asked about prior work experience and they got back to me very quickly after calling my references. Interview asked standard questions.

Describe a situation where you disagreed with a customer or client.
Short about 15 minutes, common interview questions, informative of day-to-day tasks, talk about availability. Come prepared and bring resume. Be energetic and joyful about customer service. They are looking for friendly individuals with motivation to sell and provide good customer service
They offered me an interview relatively fast, within a week of applying. I told the interviewer my experience caring for my dogs and my volunteer work at a wildlife sanctuary.
They generally want to know your experience with animals and customer service skills.
