I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Petco
Interview
Well first of all there were 2 interviews. The first one was an open interview that I found online on snagajob.com I believe. Anyways, I went in and was placed in a section where we were all interviewed. Everyone had retail experience, where I felt I was a little inadequate. Next we were interviewed one by one in a large circle where we were asked the same question. Fairly simple, where we've worked, what experience do we have, have we worked with people, with animals. I told them I had experience with many animals including farm animals, guess that looked good on me. But I had hinted that I was here for the fish department. After the interview they had told me that the person with the position i sought after had been there for more than 10 years so they didn't think I'd get the position. I said okay, and left. I got called back, to my surprise, for a second interview. I went a week later, got brought into their office and asked a series of aquatic questions to test if I knew anything about fish. I guess I did okay, because they said I'd start next week. That was my experience with the interview process.

Question 1
Have you ever had a difficult customer and how did you deal with the situation?
the interview was very short and I felt like I was not given the proper information for the job that I am working. The hours provided were different that what I was told in the internview
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Petco (Petaluma, CA)
Interview
Normal interview by two managers in the main office. They use pre-written questions to ask you in three parts of the interview. It's standard compared to most large retailers. Wasn't too bad especially if you've had an interview before in most other companies. Helps a lot if you know one of the current employees.
