I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Petco (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2011
Interview
I was called a week later after I applied online. I couldn't pick up the phone so the manager left a voice message that told me to call him back. When I called him back he scheduled an interview with me the following week. He was very nice and I scored a second interview. Sadly the guy who interviewed me next was the complete opposite of me and I didn't get the job.
This started as an open group interview, that then moved to individual interviews. The group process happened in the front of the store, with the individual process moving to the office. Overall quick and painless.
It was pretty easy. The interviewer asks questions provided by Petco. My interview was short as the interviewer wanted it to go quick, but I don't believe this is the norm. Many questions are related to having a previous job.

Question 1
Are there any animals you are uncomfortable handling?
It was easy just talk about how you are with animas. I had experience so I just talked about that and they were very happy to hear about it. So don’t worry
