I applied online. I interviewed at Petco (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2014
Interview
Applied to the store 12/27/13. received a call back 1/21/14 to come in for a interview. At first I thought it was going to be a one on one interview but it was a group interview. Very Laid back. Ask each of us (five candidates) about ourselves, something interesting about us, & what we noticed about the store. EASY! Then we had a one on one literally 1 minute interview with the store manager which I think he used to remember our names.

Question 1
Do you have experience handling customers during a rush?
It was a basic sales job interview. Basically they want to know you are a hard worker and kind to animals. I don't think they really care as long as you are willing to work hard.
The interview process is very easy. They are not too picky, they just want to make sure that you will work and can comprehend the simple parts of the job. And that you are okay with small animals.
