Interview
The general manager called me on the phone and invited me to interview within a couple days. I met him at the store and we sat in the manager office area. Other employees and managers frequently were entering and exiting, it was hot and uncomfortable. I think it would have been better to walk around the store or to have met in a more neutral area where other employees weren't hanging around.

He was mostly interested in my availability for nights and weekends, my experience with pets and aquariums, and my familiarity with the PALS program compared to Petsmart's PetPerks.
Straight forward and not difficult. It's just a standard retail interview, no curveballs, no trick questions. Just practice a little beforehand and it'll go smoothly. Make sure to ask questions of your own at the end.

Do you have experience handling customers during a rush?
It was a basic sales job interview. Basically they want to know you are a hard worker and kind to animals. I don't think they really care as long as you are willing to work hard.
The interview process is very easy. They are not too picky, they just want to make sure that you will work and can comprehend the simple parts of the job. And that you are okay with small animals.
