I came in for a one on one interview for an open position. They recently had a few employees leave so they were in desperate need for someone to take on the role. This may have sped the process up somewhat but it was generally important to make a good impression and have some kind of experience. The background check took an extra few days which hung the process up.

They asked me what sort of experience I had that could be applicable to working for Petco.
Straight forward and not difficult. It's just a standard retail interview, no curveballs, no trick questions. Just practice a little beforehand and it'll go smoothly. Make sure to ask questions of your own at the end.

Do you have experience handling customers during a rush?
It was a basic sales job interview. Basically they want to know you are a hard worker and kind to animals. I don't think they really care as long as you are willing to work hard.
The interview process is very easy. They are not too picky, they just want to make sure that you will work and can comprehend the simple parts of the job. And that you are okay with small animals.
