I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Petco (Middletown, RI) in Feb 2016
Interview
The GM had me come in when I was available, sat me down in the office, asked me some questions about my schooling and why I wanted to work there. Took me into the grooming salon and showed me around and introduced me to my potential coworkers. Then took me back into the office and explained responsibilities, predicted work hours, and discussed payment. After all that, asked me if I still wanted to work there and I said YES!! Everyone was very nice and I loved that everyone was so different but still got along so well. The GM was very friendly and didn't make me feel like I was being judged or probed and I had fun!
I applied online. I interviewed at Petco (Bothell, WA) in Aug 2020
Interview
Really basic interview. Explained the job and made sure I had experience with dogs and was comfortable with them. Made sure I would be there for awhile because the training program is long.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Petco (Steamboat Springs, CO) in Aug 2018
Interview
The interview was comprehensive. The manager went over the training process and made sure I was aware it’s a “dirty” job. She let me ask questions and answered honestly.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Petco (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2017
Interview
I applied online and got a call about a day later. I was invited to interview in one Petco, the interview itself was okay, there weren't too many questions asked and it was mostly the assistant manager and dog groomer telling me about the job description. I was told I would receive an answer within a day of my interview but did not hear anything back until about a week after where I was given another interview at a different Petco location that was farther away from the first one. This was a repeated process that caused me to stop going to the interview by the 3rd time.
