      Sales Associate/Cashier Interview

      Mar 12, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Petco in Nov 2014

      Interview

Very informal. I walked into the room with the assistant manager, she was nice and just asked general questions. The GM walked in late and was very inconsiderate. Questions were very easy and I felt like they were just trying to fill the spot so quickly that they were just making sure I had a heartbeat to hire me. I figured out why..new people would hardly stay for over 2 months before they'd quit.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why Petco? What kind of experience do you have with animals? (reptiles, cats, dogs, small animals, etc.)

      Interview

It was a basic sales job interview. Basically they want to know you are a hard worker and kind to animals. I don't think they really care as long as you are willing to work hard.

      Question 1

"Do you like animals and do you have pets?"
