Interviewing with the three people in the department was fairly easy and I actually had really great conversations with all three women. However, the interview process has been the most frustrating I've ever experienced.
1) I had 3 interviews over the course of 2 months, which I thought was a pretty long amount of time. I had a 30-minute phone screening with HR, 1-hour phone interview with the department director and associate manager, then a 1.5-hour video interview with the director, associate manager, and senior associate.
2) The HR department is extremely difficult to communicate with. They don't respond to ANY emails. So any questions about next steps, updates, etc. all went unanswered. They only ever call to schedule the next interview, and they're not pleasant to talk to.
3) The people in the department, even the director, told me they have no knowledge about the interview/hiring process which I found quite odd. Any question I had about next steps, I was told to contact the HR department. Except, as I mentioned above, the HR department never responds!! So frustrating.
4) My last interview was in May. It's now July, and I've contacted them at least five times asking for an update on my application and have received no response. At this point I obviously assume they've chosen another candidate. I just think it's common courtesy to inform candidates if they haven't been chosen. Especially if they reach out to you asking about their application.
The position seemed like such a great opportunity and I was really excited about it, but the whole experience was just so unpleasant. It's not something I'd want to go through again.
