Interview questions [1]
Question 1
tell me about yourself, why phenom, what interests you about AI, tell me about something thats not on your resume.
First two rounds are solid but the last round with VP is...interesting. I have 45 mins but the VP of product only want to spend 20 mins on it and by the 30 minutes, he seems about to end. Also the second question I got is how are my parents, and what did my parents do. Pretty sure it's irrelevant to the role.
I applied online. I interviewed at Phenom (Ambler, PA) in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview was easy, but the process was exhausting and disappointing. This was my third interview after two successful reschedules, and Phenom still took nearly two months to move from talent acquisition to rejection, with no feedback at the end (Worst Candidate Experience). It felt like a complete waste of time and showed the least respect for the candidate (namesake candidate xperience company)
I also noticed that many product people seem to come from one particular university, which made the process feel biased against outsiders. For a company that claims to care deeply about candidate experience, their own behaviour during hiring was poor and did not reflect that at all.
