A recruiter contacted me about the position, after a screen with the recruiter I had a technical call with a staff engineer. It went well and I enjoyed the conversation. Next interview was with a growth leader and it was more focused on the marketing side of the position. It also went well and the conversation was good. I then heard from the recruiter again who let me know that the COO had planned to be in the previous interview but had a conflict and was only available the next week. The COO call went well as well but I should have paid more attention to a comment she needed to make about freeing up budget.
The recruiter called me the next day to tell me that the team loved me but that they had hired someone the previous week. They scheduled an interview with me after someone had been hired for the role. The recruiter said that they'd see how the person was doing in a month and perhaps they'd call me back. I didn't want to burn a bridge so I waited several weeks before writing this review.
Not only did they waste my time in an interview for a position that had already been filled, but I then thought about if I had been hired and they decided there was someone they liked better after a month? Avoid this place.
