After my resume was reviewed I was moved to the phone screening process. The interview itself was good, standard interview questions about 30-40 minutes long. I felt the interview went great and I had quality responses to the questions given.
So the next day I got an email stating "we've decided not to move forward with your candidacy at this time". I was wondering what lead to the decision so I reached out and asked my interviewer. He said basically his manager was looking for (e.g., logistics management in business process outsourcing, Jira/Atlassian for bug tracking, etc.). Which is fine but that is not what was on the job description and I was not asked a single question about any of those skill sets in the interview. These skills are also not in line with the usual "customer support" role.
Sloppy and unorganized. A company should know what they're looking for before they go and post job ads and they should know exactly what they're looking for in the descriptions. So over all experience was bad and hopefully they improve on that.
