Interview
I applied online and got a phone call within a week or so to set up a formal interview. The actual interview was very straightforward and casual. Two supervisors start off by giving a rundown of the zoo and the department's role. Following that, they began asking simple interview questions off of a piece of paper. When they were done, they asked if I had any questions for them. At the end of the interview they immediately offered me a conditional job offer. They stressed that my employment was seasonal and transitioning to a regular part-time employment was dependent on various factors that were out of even their control. Overall a very pleasant and simple interview.
