Hands down this was one of the most laid back Flight Attendant Interviews I have ever been on. I enjoyed myself, the interviewers, and the fellow prospects. I was emailed by inflight, and asked to come in for an interview. HR offers complimentary flight arrangements, but lodging is at your own expense. The entire interview process took about 6-7 hours. Everyone arrived on time, and we were greeted by one of the Happy Interviewers/Inflight Management. They were so laid back and welcoming, they really wanted everyone to relax, so that they could get a feel for who you really are. The process started with an information session, (i.e about the company and what to expect). It is important to pay attention, and write some info down (important info) because you will be quizzed on the information session. There was an open floor to ask questions, after the info session. We took a break after the question session. Afterwards, We were grouped into 4 or 5 people to complete an icebreaker exercise ( A lot of fun btw). we had to come up with an airline name, slogan and three things that would allow our airline company to standout. I think its best to go up as a group, instead of one individual when presenting your ideas, I made the mistake of presenting solo. Immediately after the icebreaker exercise, we were handed a piece of paper, and we had to present the answers to the entire room. You were asked to introduce yourself, tell something unique or interesting about yourself. You were asked Why did you want to work for Piedmont? And to explain a humorous, rewarding or challenging customer service experience and the outcome. I think it is best to use the S.T.A.R technique when answering the Customer Service question (Please you-tube or google the star technique if you are not familiar). After answering the questions on the paper, we had to chose an announcement and read it aloud. There was another intersession, and that is when the recruiting process took place. The panelist deliberated and wrote names down on a piece of paper. They explained that because there were so many (30 something) people, they would have to eliminate. If your name was on the piece of paper, you would move along to the next part of the interview. The interview literally took about 5-8 mins. I was offered the job!
