      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Piedmont Airlines (Charlotte, NC) in Feb 2018

      Interview

First submit your resume online and they will send you an invite to an info session if they are interested. If you receive it, you have to RSVP and let them know you’re coming. When they respond, they’ll tell you to bring a COPY of your License, Proof of Education (HS Diploma/GED/Degree whatever applies to you), SS Card. When you get there, you are given a thick packet to fill out. It includes the application, background consent, and airport badging application. Complete it. After that, they give the presentation of the company. After that, you take a test. The test had a reading passage on there where u had to actually comprehend what you read and answer questions. It seemed like it came from a college textbook. It was challenging. I had to pull out my phone because they had big words I never saw before and we had to choose the correct antonym that gives the same meaning as the word underlined. Then they asked questions on the test regarding the presentation they gave. So u better had paid attention. They ask about aviation terms. Match the word and definition. Then you had to lift 4 heavy pieces of luggage (75 pounds) on the counter. The counter is oddly high. I think it's equivalent to the height from the ground to the aircraft cargo bin. They were heavy though. Some women failed that part. Then as soon as you lift the luggage you have to get on top of the high as counter which was securely built to show them that you can get up that high. You had two chances. Yes, practice jumping up on a high counter. If you can’t, you will fail. You will be watching everybody do it. There’s no way around it. It’s a long process with so many people. Then after that you give your paperwork back to the lady and she determine what position she want you in based off what you put on your application. Then she email you at 4 pm if you're selected to go forward and schedule a one on one. The next step is the one on one interview. There you are given an interview very basic. Then you are given the drug test parapet. You have to immediately go and take it. That’s all I know. Lasses start once a month. You can choose between ramp and gate. Pay is 9.70 an hour starting. They said it was going to rise to 11.75 in March. Hope this helps. This was for Charlotte, NC. You will only work on concourse E only. The express planes. CRJ 200,700,900, DASHES, ERJ 145
