I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Planet (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2021
Interview
1) Recruiter phone call (they found my info from LinkedIn -- i wasn't actively looking for a new job); 2) Zoom interview w/ a senior engineer from another group; 3) Zoom interview w/ the hiring manager; 4) Onsite in person interview withe team and some zoom meetings on that day.
Process was straightforward. I believe I over-qualified for what they were looking for... but months later, they still have NOT respond whether they moved on or not. Appears very unprofessional, although I wouldn't care much.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basically engineering folks walk thru my resume and ask me to describe what I did in the past 20+ years.
Recruiter screened me for EM position. At the end of the call he asks me my salary expectation without disclosing any salary range for the position. I haven’t seen a company this big in tech not provide salary range for the position in this day and age.
