      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Planned Parenthood in Aug 2023

      Interview

HORRIBLE interview ever. I’ve never had such a bad experience interviewing with a company. First I got a phone screen interview. That was easy enough and I got to move on to a virtual interview. The virtual interview started off great I think I was able to answer everything well enough and I was confident about it. Towards the end the interviewer told me she’d actually like for me to meet with the Team Lead for the department. I was not told I’d be meeting another person since I was only told I would have an interview with ONE person. I agreed even though it was weird, but I took it as a good sign. I thought, “hmm this means they like me and I’m getting the job no problem” lol . Once I was transferred with the team lead, she asked me a few questions and I answered them to the best of my ability, she seemed to like my answers as well. Me thinking the interview was just about over, the team lead then tells me I’m gonna be meeting the manager for the department. I was completely caught off guard because again, I was only told I’d be doing ONE interview. Then I get thrown into a second and third one? Completely unprofessional. Once the THIRD interview started I could tell the “manager” was very hostile from the start and sounded like she was interrogating me. She was so snarky with me and told me right away “this job isn’t fun”…. Ok? Is any job really THAT fun? It was a huge turn off, there’s no need to be telling people that right off the bat. I still stayed in the interview because I needed the job. When I answered a question she asked me, I said that one of the reasons I left a previous job was because there was no training whatsoever, every time I asked a manager for help they rolled their eyes and you could tell they did NOT want to help you. This “manager” proceeded to ask me “so let me tell you this, in this job, sometimes we don’t have time to train you, we just are too busy, what would you do then?” HUH??? You should be training any new person for a NEW ROLE. What kind of bull is that? In the end I didn’t get the job, but there’s a whole lot more where that came from, this “manager” was so unprofessional and the whole interview was so scattered. I was not prepared to have 3 back to back interviews. Please don’t waste peoples time and please hire better “managers” for your employees to work with. I love planned parenthood and what they stand for, but this experience made me never want to work here.

Sometimes we’re going to be too busy to train you, we just don’t have time for things like that, how would you handle that?
