I applied during the first week of November and heard back from the recruiter within about a week to schedule an initial one-on-one call. That first conversation was helpful and set clear expectations around the role, the team, and overall alignment, which I really appreciated.
After that, there was roughly a one-month gap with no communication. I did send a couple of follow-ups during that time but didn’t receive a response, so the silence was a bit unclear from a candidate perspective. That said, once the process resumed, things moved very smoothly.
The next step was a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager for Product Management. It felt more like a genuine conversation than a formal interview, focused on background, experience, and mutual fit rather than heavy technical or behavioral questioning.
The second round was a 30-minute discussion with the Staff Product Manager I would be working closely with. This was primarily scenario-based, practical, and grounded in real-world situations, which made it both engaging and relevant.
The third interview was with a Senior Software Engineering Manager. This round included more technical and scenario-based questions, along with deeper behavioral follow-ups. The back-and-forth felt thoughtful and realistic, and it gave me a strong sense of how product and engineering collaborate day to day.
The final round was a panel interview with members from engineering, product, and design. This felt largely focused on culture, collaboration, and cross-functional fit rather than testing knowledge, which I found refreshing and well-aligned with how teams actually operate.
Within a week of the panel, I received the offer. Overall, despite the initial communication gap, the interview experience itself was positive, respectful, and well-structured. Each round felt purposeful and gave me increasing clarity about the role, the team, and the expectations.
