I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at PlayStation in May 2016
Interview
Spoke with a recruiter briefly over the phone, at the end of which we scheduled an interview date and time. Interview was over the phone with a Producer and Game Designer, roughly 30 minutes long.
Very long interview, 3 behavioral rounds, and 2 technical rounds. Technical questions involve some scripting questions + gameplay system design. The technical rounds were not that hard but the long hours did take a lot of energy out of me. Everyone was very friendly, it was a pretty positive experience.
