I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Podium in Jul 2016
Interview
The hiring manager called me and performed a phone interview first. At the end of the phone interview, he had me set up a time to come into the office to visit with him and get a feel for the team/environment the job would take place in.
The in person interview felt pretty hostile to be honest. I interviewed with the hiring manager and another associate with the company, and was on the defense the whole interview. There was a lot of miscommunication both directions. Most of my responses elicited a "why"(which almost felt like being interviewed by a toddler) from the hiring manager, so a lot of the interview turned into me trying to explain previous answers.
Most of the people I met were cool, relaxed, and easy to talk to. The hiring manager didn't have the same attitude, and felt pretty cocky/stuck up. The interview wasn't hard necessarily, but was set up weird. Not a lot of structure or plans to it.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Podium in Apr 2026
Interview
Process starts with a screening call with HR, followed by interview with hiring manager, then case study, which was presented to hiring manager and director in a final round interview.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Podium (Melbourne) in Jan 2026
Interview
Didn’t get through to hiring manager but recruiter is easy to talk to and prompt with outcomes. Was not waiting for long periods of time without a response from the employer and company
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What KPIs did you work with and how are you with them
I had a phone screen scheduled with a confirmation email and automated reminder, but the recruiter never called or responded to my follow-up email inquiring about the status of the interview. This level of unprofessionalism is disappointing from a global organisation. Candidates invest significant time and energy preparing for opportunities, and deserve basic courtesy and clear communication throughout the process. This experience raises serious concerns about the company's organisational culture and respect for prospective employees. I would strongly encourage the recruitment team to implement better communication protocols to prevent leaving candidates in limbo.
