At first it was a straightforward interview process. The recruiter unfortunately wasn’t very knowledgeable about the role and didn’t outline the process well. I was told I would have 4 rounds of interviews and a “project” that would be writing a case study, which is within my skill set. Instead, I was asked to create a whole marketing strategy for a specific vertical. The process took hours of my time. Then after I presented the project to a panel, they were still unclear about my skill set (because they weren’t paying attention to my presentation) resulting in my having to re-interview with someone before I would be allowed to talk to the CPO (6 interviews total). Just ridiculous. I didn’t receive an offer after all that work. The company seems toxic. I was told in an interview with a would-be colleague that the manager is a “workaholic” and would probably message me at all hours of the night. No thanks.
