My interview experience with Podium was disorganized and, at times, outright unprofessional. It began with confusion—a call with the director bypassed the recruiter screening, only for them to request one afterward with no notice. The recruiter then called me unexpectedly while I was watching my child, adding to the frustration.
The on-site panel interview, scheduled for two hours, started with a 15-minute wait due to miscommunication. The session was rushed—45 minutes on case studies, no time for questions, and an unprofessional remark from the manager that led to laughter from the team. Rather than fostering a constructive discussion, it felt dismissive and mocking.
The follow-up "whiteboarding session" lasted only 25–30 minutes and lacked structure entirely. The manager set the tone by opening with profanity, providing no direction, and making the conversation feel hostile rather than collaborative.
Ultimately, this process left a strong negative impression. A company’s hiring approach reflects its culture, and based on my experience, I would not recommend Podium to anyone seeking a respectful and professional environment.
