The interview process went quickly and then dragged out towards the end. The first interviewers were very friendly and great. The last interviewer awkward and seemed very uninterested to be there. It was frustrating because it appeared that I was going to receive an offer and my references were called, but then they ghosted me and said they tried to reach out (they didn’t). Then said they were still waiting for approval for the role yet they were interviewing for the position. Then they wanted to make the role a contract position which was never discussed and I was asked to wait, for possibly months, for them to get organized on their end for the role and keep in touch. A company should put you through several interviews and give you tests, then call your references if they have no intentions of filling a position.
