      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Primerica (Edison, NJ) in Sep 2011

      Interview

Interview? What interview? I met representatives at a job fair, specifically stating what type of position I was looking for. I was then contacted to have a face-to-face interview, on a Saturday at a location over 50 miles away. I figured, okay, at least I won't have the traffic to deal with. Had difficulty finding the office, finally got directions from a competitor nearby. Go upstairs, am asked to wait and go get coffee (none in office, had to exit the building and go to Dunkin Donuts). Had 2 minutes with the interviewer where I did the right things, asked questions about the company, started a dialog. (I did my research on the company.) I then was sent to a room to see a presentation on the company. HOURS later, I finally get to meet the interviewer again. I believed we would now be discussing the position that I believed they were looking to hire me for. Not quite! As others had said, they don't hire people, they want you as part of their multi-level marketing tree. Sorry, but I left sales over 25 years ago, and this is purely commission-based where you have to get your own leads. Kept pushing the money you can make as a "business owner". Thanks, but no thanks. Nowhere on their web site is their business model defined - and when you ask during the interview, they will dance around it. My suggestion to other candidates - unless you specifically want to become a business owner selling insurance and financial assistance, decline when they call.
