Applied to princeton graduate program online. Contacted by a professor for a skype interview. Answered questions about my previous research. No tough questions as I was prepared to talk about my resume.
I submitted my application through the website before the fall deadline. The application required three letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, and a diversity statement. Acceptances were announced within two months of the deadline. When I applied, there was no interview, but that has since changed.

There wasn't really an interview process. They just look at your application, which does need to be very competitive. GRE scores, recommendation letters, GPA, and writing sample. Typical application. The recommendation letters and writing sample are probably the most important aspects of the whole process.
