Applied online. Seemed like a good fit. Run of the mill job description. The initial call with Talent Recruiter (TR) went well. Brought in for face to face with the hiring manager. This was a mistake as I would realize later. 1:1 with the hiring manager (HM). 7 minutes into the conversation and I am not even sure if I am interviewing for the same role. The "interviewing" was all over the place. Multiple side tracks and I could not even complete one answer. Anyways, in the end, I had to ask how did the HM envision the role. And it was completely different from what the TR told me. Absolutely and utterly different. Had I known over the phone I would have said No. They need more of a creative director than Design manager. I left it at that. Seemed like a good young team. Good nice location in near Chinatown though. I also like their product. Alas!
