I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Acme, MI) in Aug 2017
Interview
Filled out application. Four days later asked to take online test. Passed and was interviewed over the phone by a recruiter. Most impersonal phone conversation I've ever had. Guy had my resume in front of me, and didn't even know that I actually lived in the city in which the job was domiciled. Makes you think this company is too big, and you're just a number. Not to mention they had already filled the position, and didn't make me aware. Wasted my time completely.

Question 1
All situational questions. You had to answer as if you were a robot.
I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Florida City, FL)
Interview
Quick and easy process. Pretty standard compared to most. Just study STAR format and have recent and relevant scenarios. Phone interview. Then behavioral questions online and 2 personal interview panel.
I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Indianapolis, IN)
Interview
Pretty easy. Used STAR method, which was new to me. But after researching, it actually made a lot of sense why they did it that way. There was also a recorded video portion as well.

Question 1
Tell me about a time that you had a difficult interaction with an upset client.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance in Dec 2024
Interview
Horrible! An assessment, then a one way interview. After that you interview with a recruiter. Keep in mind this is for a low paying, entry level role. After all this stress and hours of prep work and a month long process you get a rejection. I would not advise anyone to go through this process. It is basically just a call center job. USAA pays more and is better.
