I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Jacksonville, FL) in Jan 2018
Interview
Very long process, initial screening interview followed by long interview of about 45 minutes or so, relying on many STAR format situation type questions. I am a senior sales & marketing manager with over 25 years of experience in telecommunications. Due to downsizing, was trying to move over to insurance. Progressive relies way too much on the STAR format behavioral questions rather than skills, background and experience. I was told I didn't get job because others answered better on these STAR format questions, which is insulting and ridiculous. I wrote to the CEO of Progressive and she simply referred my letter to someone in HR. I was suggesting they put less emphasis on the STAR format questions, but looks like they will keep doing as they are doing.
