Interview
The interview process is two part. After passing the assessment portion you are offered a phone interview with a recruiter and if you pass that, you are moved on to the final interview with a hiring manager. I personally decided to not move forward with the final interview due to the poor experience I had with the recruiter conducting the phone interview. Not only was she rude and condescending, but the starting pay was nothing to boast about either. That experience alone made me want to continue my search elsewhere. Keep in mind, Progressive uses a third party company (Randstad) to do their initial screening. I did get a chance to speak briefly with the hiring manager to inform him that I declined the interview, and I will say he was super kind and pleasant over the phone. I do wish the first interview had left a better taste in my mouth. If you are one of the lucky ones to get called back after the assessment, be sure to study the STAR interview method, which Progressive uses.
