I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (South Plainfield, NJ) in Aug 2013
Interview
First went through the online application. After receiving e-mail that I needed to take an assessment. Took Assessment, some math questions, and A LOT of behavioral/situation questions in the assessment.
About 3-4 days later, received e-mail that I was selected for a Phone Interview. The recruiter was very helpful, letting me know exactly what type of questions to expect and how to answer them. Had the phone interview, was told by the end of the week would receive the decision for a in-person interview. Received e-mail the next day that I was going to have an in person interview. Took some time to coordinate schedules, but got the in person interview. Did the background check which didn't take long and was fairly easy.
In Person Interview, more of the same type of questions from the phone interview, but face to face. Use the STAR method. Situation/Task, Action, Result. Had about 5-8 of these questions and they tell you when these questions will begin. The interview lasted about 50 minutes to an hour.
Was told I was going to be contacted the following Friday the latest about 7-10 business days. Was contacted exactly one week later.
