I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance in Feb 2014
Interview
I went through the online portal and submitted my application. A few days later, I received an email for the online assessment. About two weeks later I scheduled my phone interview. It went well initially, but the recruiter became rude. She cut me off multiple times, claimed my online profile job history was incorrect (I checked and it was not) and then seemed dissatisfied with the reason I gave her for a period of unemployment and why I'm looking to leave my current position.
Apparently, she is an outside recruiter for Progressive. Memo to Progressive: don't contract your recruiters. I have never had such a terrible phone interview. If I acted that way with a customer, I would be summarily fired.
I'm going to be angry if I am not invited for an in person interview due to her unprofessionalism.
