Interview
I applied for the job and the next day, I received an email to do the assessment. I did the assessment. They emailed me the next day saying that I passed and I could do the Hirevue interview which I completed the next day.
The Hirevue interview has 8 questions and gives you a moment to prepare before you record your response, and you have one chance for each question to re-record your response if you messed up.
Two hours after I completed the Hirevue interview, I received an email to schedule the Zoom interview with a live person from Progressive. I scheduled the interview for the following week.
The Zoom interview was about 40 minutes. The recruiter was kind and went over in length all the details about the job such as the pay, hybrid work schedule, possible start date, and training and licensing information. They asked four STAR questions. One was about negotiation, another was about a time when you had a task and it failed (something along those lines), describe a time where you had to investigate a problem and come up with a solution, etc. They also asked for more information about the scenarios in your answers.
At the end of the interview they said I’d hear back in 1-2 weeks. I heard back six days later. I did not get the job. I asked for feedback and they said that my answers about negotiation and a customer conflict were not strong enough compared to others who moved forward.
You can reapply after six months and try again if you want.
