I applied online. I interviewed at Proofpoint in May 2017
Interview
I got an email from the recruiter about how much they liked my resume and asking to schedule an interview. On the interview date, the recruiter and hiring manager contacted me by email asking me my country of origin. As soon as they knew where I was born, they never replied back. That was very rude.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Proofpoint
Interview
Had a 1-hour phone interview after a career fair. Was flown in for a day of one-on-one interviews with software engineers. Mostly coding questions, lots of algorithms. Many interviewers made a point to save time for me to ask questions. The people there are very nice and have diverse interests outside of work. One more phone interview, then an offer.
