I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Protiviti (Orlando, FL) in Jul 2022
Interview
I was reached out by the recruiter on linked in and had the pre screening interview. She asked about my background and reasons i was leaving my old firm. I was offered an interview with two people.
The first interview i thought went well. Asked questions based on my experiences. Mainly towards if i would be a good fit for the company.
Second interview was more technical. More about the audit lifecycle, types of testing, etc.
The recruiter called me a day later to ask how the interview went. She then explained the position offer such as the salary offered and the job title. The recruiter asked me about my other offers and asked for specifics such as the job title and the salary. She advised me that my other offers were more than Protiviti and said i should take the other offer. She then explained one of the reason of concerns the interviewers had and I explained. She ended the call with she will get with the interviewers and get back to me.
After about a day she emailed me explaining that i will not be offered this position because there isn’t a “mutual skills match “. I emailed asking what skills am i lacking, i asked this to understand what i can improve. The recruiter’s respond was that she did not have any feedback from the interviewers.
