Overall a pretty easy and quick process with nice people. But was disappointed they did not provide me feedback after sending me a rejection after the third round interview. However overall it was a good experience!
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Proton.ai in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview process was fairly straightforward. An in-depth call with the recruiter, an hour long interview with the hiring manager, a presentation to the hiring manager and a team member, and a final interview with the CEO. The final interview was rather unexpected. It was a life story interview covering education, interests, and career. It was a fairly neutral experience, not bad, but rather strange.
I gave multiple references, both of whom were contacted and spoke to the Proton team. Without asking me for additional references or checking with me, the Proton team tracked down an additional former manager to speak to them. This felt disrespectful and unprofessional, and was the driving decision in me turning down the role.
