This was probably the oddest screening process I have ever been through. I applied for the position over a month ago and got an immediate call back the next day when they left a voicemail on my phone. I called back and left a message, but never heard anything again. Fast forward a month and I get another call out of the blue from someone over seas. They really catch you off guard instead of scheduling interviews. At the beginning of the call, the interviewer asked if they could call me back in 1-2 minutes so they could find a quieter place... they didn’t call back for 45 more minutes! If you aren’t ready, why call? The “screening” interview took about an hour in which they asked very detailed questions, but couldn’t answer any of my own. In fact, some of the time they would even reject my question and say I could ask it later in the interview. It was very obvious there was a language barrier throughout as she would repeat back my answers and they were no where close to what I said. The interviewer also obviously did not review my resume, as they often misrepresented my work experience. One example is her thinking I had only worked for 1 company for 2 years and didn’t have enough experience, when I actually have listed over 6 years of experience across multiple positions/companies. Almost immediately after the phone call I got an email saying I wasn’t qualified for the position and they wouldn’t move forward. Just strange, overall, and I felt like I wasted my time interviewing.
