Two weeks after applying, I was invited to take part in a live video interview. I scheduled the earliest available interview time they had. On the day of the interview, I dialed into the phone line as instructed, and also waited in the video conference room. After waiting in the room alone for 10 minutes, I reached out via email to see if perhaps I had mixed up the dates or time for the interview. 20 minutes after the interview was scheduled to begin, I received an email back stating that the hiring manager had already filled the position, and that they no longer needed to interview me. It was incredibly unprofessional to not reach out to me prior to the interview to let me know that they had already chosen a candidate. Instead, they thoughtlessly wasted my time and had the audacity to automatically send a follow up survey mail asking about my experience with the interview process. I am disgusted at the level of unprofessionalism, but thankful that they showed early on how little they care for the time and energy of those they will potentially call colleagues. If I could give this company a negative 5 star review, I would.
